To my great surprise and joy, I have received my very first illustration commission! Seeing as it is my first one and I have no idea really as to how this all works, I’ve said that I’ll do it free of charge (just covering my costs) in exchange for which the lady who has commissioned me (a cookery writer and teacher from Northumberland) has said she’ll spread the word (presuming she’s happy with the results, of course).
In the meantime, I’ve picked the brains of a talented illustrator friend of mine called Louisa Jones, a proper professional, who has given me some advice on things I need to be thinking about with regards printing, copyright and so forth, should this lead to more work (fingers crossed!)
With illlustration in mind, here’s another ‘food idiom’ cartoon. This one takes it’s inspiration from the ‘bad egg’ who shoved past the bus stop the other day, knocking some man (without apologising), who – I could tell – was going to “stew” about it all the way into work. That’s what’s called bad karma, dude.
P.S – the skinny little blond thing (illustrated) is NOT meant to be me!

I see that The Bad Egg has walked off with Scrabble!
